We're excited to announce that Dr. Abid Haseeb will be joining Fox Valley Ophthalmology starting September 1, 2026! He comes to us fresh off a Glaucoma Fellowship at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois at Chicago — one of the nation's premier centers for ophthalmic training and research.

Background

Dr. Haseeb earned his undergraduate degree from Brown University in 2016 and his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine in 2021. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident during his final year — a distinction that reflects both his clinical excellence and the respect of his colleagues and program leadership. He then pursued advanced subspecialty training through his glaucoma fellowship at UIC.

Areas of Focus

Dr. Haseeb specializes in the diagnosis and surgical management of glaucoma across all patient populations, including pediatric glaucoma. He also has special interest in cataract surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).

A Researcher and Educator, Too

Beyond clinical care, Dr. Haseeb is an active researcher and educator. He has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in leading journals including Cornea and Ophthalmology Glaucoma, and contributed a chapter on ocular surface disease in childhood glaucoma to an internationally co-authored textbook. His research on ocular surface disease in pediatric glaucoma patients received the Best Pediatric Glaucoma Paper Award at the 2023 AAPOS Annual Meeting.

Dr. Haseeb is committed to patient-centered care grounded in the belief that every patient deserves to understand their condition and be an active participant in their own treatment.
